What is Wellness Coaching?

Wellness coaches support people who want to experience healthier life balance, enhanced well-being, and deeper sense of fulfillment. Wellness coaches partner with clients who seek self-directed, lasting changes aligned with their values. In the course of their work, wellness coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their capacity for change, honoring that each client is an expert on his or her life, while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental.

During coaching, clients work on where they are presently and on what they are motivated to change in their life. Coaches guide you to develop an individualized plan to creating a more balanced life of purpose, health and well-being. While coaches do not diagnose or prescribe, they guide clients to access their current situation, set goals for change, identify and mitigate obstacles to reaching these goals, and discover their own true path. Coaches will also help clients establish accountability around their goals and strategies for maintaining long-lasting positive habits to sustain their enhanced well-being.

Through this process, clients will learn to:

  • Create balance between work, family and personal time
  • Recognize and honor their value and potential
  • Increase self-compassion and self-acceptance
  • Reduce outside noise and negative thinking
  • Break unhealthy habits
  • Differentiate between what is important and what is not
  • Develop resiliency
  • Navigate and cope with change
  • Establish and commit to accountability for their actions
